We are looking for help in our warehouse off Fisher Rd, 43228. We need someone who can operate forklift, can drive a 16 feet truck and could lift heavy loads without any trouble. Competitive salary is paid.

Opening for Soccer Program Manager

Wedgewood Soccer Program

MY Project USA is non-profit organization helping underserved youth advance their future through soccer and education. We are partnered with Columbus City Council to ensure success of our players and improve community relations.

 

Essential functions of the position include:

  • Manage a recreational soccer league for teams for youth participants residing on the West side of Columbus.

  • Organize a schedule of team practices and games.

  • Implement a plan to maintain both a soccer field, related equipment and uniforms.

  • Design a format that would allow each participant to improve his or her technical and physical skills of soccer.

  • Assist coaches to monitor performance of each player during the season.

  • Attend regularly scheduled meetings with the management team.

  • Ensure uniform program opportunities are delivered to all participants

  • Work closely with Soccer Chair to develop and deploy programs

  • Work with the Soccer Chair to ensure that all the proper equipment and uniforms have been purchased.

 

We are looking for positive role models to coach both male and female teams.

 

Hours would vary from week to week during the summer and early fall. Compensation would be $15 per hour with no benefits.

 

Prior soccer experience is required.

Openings For Assistant Soccer Coaches (Paid & Volunteer)

Wedgewood Soccer Program

Position is responsible for assisting the head coach with organizing the Soccer program. Position assists with conducting practices, motivating players, and instructing players in game strategies and techniques.

 

Essential Duties

1. Assists the head coach with instructing players in the rules, regulations, equipment, and

techniques of the sport.

2. Organizes and directs individual and small group practice activities/exercises as directed by the head coach.

3. Assesses player’s skills, monitors players during competition and practice, and keeps the head Soccer coach informed of the athletic performance of students.

4. Assists with determining game strategy.

5. Assists the head coach with supervising athletes during practices and competition.

6. Follows established procedures in the event of an athlete’s injury.

7. Models sports-like behavior and maintains appropriate conduct towards players, officials, and spectators.

8. Maintains the equipment room in orderly condition and assumes responsibility for its security.

9. Distributes equipment, supplies, and uniforms to students as directed by the head coach.

10. Assists the head coach with submitting a list of award winners at the end of the season.

11. Participates in special activities to include parent’s night, banquets, award nights, and community events.

12. Performs support tasks such as distributing and maintaining eligibility forms, emergency data cards, and other related records.

13. Models nondiscriminatory practices in all activities.

 

Other Duties:

 

Attends staff development meetings, clinics and other professional activities to improve coaching performance.

Performs any other related duties as assigned.
